Join author, speaker, and Michigan entrepreneur Mary Lemmer for an intimate, highly interactive workshop celebrating the release of her new book, How to Handle Anything: Four Improv Principles for Navigating Life’s Curveballs.

Drawing from her experiences as an entrepreneur and business leader, more than a decade of training and performing improv, and research into what happens when we improvise offstage, Mary will take the principles from the book off the page and give you the opportunity to actually practice them.

Through interactive exercises and reflection inspired by improvisation, and grounded in research, you’ll explore practical ways to navigate uncertainty, adapt when things don’t go according to plan, creatively solve problems, and expand the range of ways you’re capable of responding when there’s no script to follow.

No improv or performance experience is necessary, and you won’t be asked to be funny or put on a show. The workshop is designed to be playful, practical, and applicable to the unexpected moments we encounter at work, in relationships, while building something new, and throughout everyday life. Space is intentionally limited to 24 participants to create an engaging, participatory experience.
