Who we are
The Robin Theatre was founded in 2015 by Dylan Rogers and Jeana-Dee Allen. Dylan still does the booking and manages the house during shows, while Jeana-Dee provides support from behind the scenes.
We’re located in a 108-year-old storefront in the REO Town neighborhood of Lansing, Michigan. The space contains a 60-seat performance hall, and as of 2021, a boutique book shop called The Robin Books.
The Robin is a welcoming venue for artists to share their work and an atmospheric room for audiences to enjoy a show. It is an ADA-compliant space, wheelchair accessible space (*stage is currently not accessible by wheelchair) and part of a safe and thriving community of small businesses.
We’re proud to have been the home location for local staples such as The Poetry Room, Comedy Coven, Ambient Annotations, and others. We have also hosted The MSU Latinx Film Festival, and Capital City Film Festival, as well as concerts from Dom Flemons, Martin Carthy, May Erlewine, Flamy Grant, The Crane Wives, Lindsay Lou, Kevin Burke, and many more.
