Warren & Flick played a set at the Robin in 2024 and blew our minds. Their acoustic musical virtuosity, nimble fingers and creatively progressive compositions have stuck with us – Dylan spins their “Waxwing” record regularly! Come enjoy some truly brilliant chamber-folk from this excellent duo!
The genre-blending acoustic duo features Jacob Warren (double bass and tenor bass) and Grant Flick (violin, tenor guitar, nyckelharpa). Their original music is rooted in folk, jazz, and classical traditions—inviting yet exploratory, with a strong improvisational thread. The duo shares their work through performances, workshops, and published sheet music. Together they have released three albums of original music: Kestrel (2019), Waxwing (2022), and Cormorant (2025). In May of 2026 the duo premiered their original double concerto “The Flock Concerto” with symphony orchestra.
